Winter Seed Sowing Workshop with Maine Beer Company

On Wednesday February 26th, 2025 find us at Maine Beer Company for a winter seed sowing workshop!

The seed sowing workshop starts at 5:00 PM. Stay for as long as you'd like afterwards for pizza and conversation, as community pizza night will also be happening at Maine Beer Co. from 4:00-8:00 PM, and 20% of food sales during that time will go to Wild Seed Project! If you aren't able to show up for the seed sowing workshop or hang out for pizza, but you still want to support Wild Seed Project and Maine Beer Company, online, phone, and in-person to-go orders are also included in the 20% of food sales between 4:00 PM and closing.

Join Wild Seed Project at Maine Beer Company for native seed saving and sowing! We will focus on how to process native perennial seeds to prepare them for winter. We will also learn about the diverse plants that grow here in Maine and their unique seed collection and seed sowing processes. We will guide a hands-on exploration of the many steps of growing native plants from seed, and establishing diverse landscapes using seed-grown plants. Participants will get to practice winter seed sowing themselves, taking home a pot of sown seeds and leaving a pot of sown seeds with Maine Beer Company to add to their extensive native plant garden. Get ready to learn the best practices for keeping your seeds outside for the winter at a great community location!
