Three-toothed cinquefoil (Sibbaldiopsis tridentata) Seeds
Three-toothed cinquefoil has shiny evergreen leaves with three leaflets, each with three teeth at the apex. This low plant, just four to six inches tall, grows naturally on acidic and dry sandy shores and rocky mountaintops. Bees, butterflies, and syrphid flies are attracted to its profuse, white, rose-like flowers in midsummer. Full sun can prompt blazing scarlet and deep purple fall foliage colors.
