A late summer-blooming woodland aster with pale lavender flowers and yellow centers. Large pale green leaves create an attractive groundcover in shady, dry to medium moist soils. Flowers attract many insect pollinators, and the foliage is important for many butterfly species in their larval stages.

These seeds do not need a winter or cold period to germinate - the rate of germination may be higher if the seeds are exposed to a period of cold, but it is not required. Sow outdoors in pots November through April. A great species for beginner seed-sowers.
