Enchanter's nightshade (Circaea lutetiana) Plants
Enchanter's nightshade (Circaea lutetiana) Plants
Broad leaves and tiny white-pinkish blooms give way to soft hooked seeds that will hitch a ride on clothing or fur. Small, but beautiful, this understated perennial grows well in woodlands or edge areas making it a nice addition to a shade garden. Small native bees enjoy the summer blooms when many other woodland plants are not flowering. Can spread by rhizomes and seed.
This plant is a member of the evening primrose family, not the nightshades.
