Culver's root (Veronicastrum virginicum) Plants

In midsummer the tall white flower spikes burst into bloom and are covered with pollinating insects. Attractive whorled foliage makes this a stately plant.

Native to: Southwestern New England. Non-native to Maine.

Growing conditions: Sun to part shade, moist to average soil.

Natural habitat: Woodland edges, meadows and disturbed roadsides.
