These seeds do not need a winter or cold period to germinate. Sow outdoors in pots November through April. These seeds benefit from scarification (scratch or nick seeds to abrade the seed coat). We have found highest germination rates occur when seeds are exposed to 40°F temperatures for about 60 days - though it is not required for germination.
