We had a blast at our June transplanting workshop, and participants left saying they learned a lot!

Did you sow native seeds this winter? Do you want to learn how best to care for them as young seedlings? Join us at our Native Seed Center at Turkey Hill Farm for a hands on demonstration of how to care for your newly germinated young native seedlings before you plant them in the ground. This event will focus on explaining and demonstrating the nursery style of dividing and planting, and how to best apply that to a home garden setting. We will all get to practice transplanting together with our hands in the dirt. Wild Seed Project's Seed Center Director, Emily Baisden, will walk us through the details of soil mixes for different plant needs, how to carefully divide young seedlings, and pot them in containers for the summer. There are lots of little details we can share from our experience growing plants to help set you up to have thriving plants ready to go into the ground this fall. Each person will be able to go home with a small plant to help continue to get your garden growing.

This event is put on by Wild Seed Project. If you are excited about engaging with us, we encourage you to consider becoming a member to offer ongoing support for Wild Seed Project's educational programs!
